Crop and Shop for a CURE 2011.

It is time once again for our annual fundraising event!!

I can't believe it is time already AND I can't believe this is our fifth one!!!!!

Each year, it just gets better and better!



For those of you who have never been to the Crop and Shop. . . here is a little bit about it. .

This event was designed for Croppers AND Shoppers (as the name implies) So you can register and scrapbook the weekend away  OR you can just stop by and shop to your hearts content!



We have lots of vendors/crafters with beautifully decorated fall/holiday tables!!!  It is so much fun to browse their wares shopping for holiday gifts or just a little something for yourself!

Shopping Hours are 4pm-8pm Friday, November 11
                                    9am-5pm on Saturday, November 12


For the Croppers. . .we have make and takes,  ample table space, meals, goodies, games, and prizes!!!

Cropping Hours are 4pm-11pm on Friday, November 11

                                9am-5pm on Saturday, November 12






Chili and Soup Lunch on Saturday 11am-2pm.   (this is included for the Croppers)

Put on by the Scrappers with a Mission Relay for Life Team.  Cost $5


Prize Extravaganza- our vendors/crafters and other sponsors have generously donated many items for you to win!!!  Purchase your Raffle Tickets and enter to win some fabulous prizes!!!!  The drawing will take place at 5pm on Saturday and you do not need to be present to win.  This drawing is the highlight of the weekend!!!!

Creative Classes.

I am so excited to announce I am adding something brand-new to my Class lineup. . . .Creative Classes!

Everyone is invited to attend.

There are no monthly requirements.

You may choose whichever classes would like to attend.

Can't make a class?  You can still purchase the Class Kit.

Our first Creative Class will be held this Saturday, May 8 (during the Workshop/Crop)
You are invited to attend the Class, even if you aren't staying to Crop.  Just add $1 on to your Class fee to cover the Church.

Class times are at 3pm & 6pm.  Please indicate which time you would like when you sign up.

This is the goodie bag all of the croppers received. . .it was filled with some special little goodies for them to enjoy!

We had a lot of fun this past weekend at our 3rd Annual Crop and Shop for a CURE! So far we have raised around $600 for our local Relay for Life Chapter. Not as much as last year, which was over $900. But, every little bit helps!!

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us!! We really appreciate it!!

And to the clean up crew. . . we would still be there if it wasn't for you all!! It is so nice to have such good friends!

We are already thinking about next year. . . things we can do different. . . things we can do better!! If you have any suggestions, please pass them my way!!!!!

And we will be forming a Crop & Shop Committee. . .if you are interested in helping out. . .please let me know!!

I can't believe how many events I have booked between now and January!!!! I am going to be one busy girl this fall!!!! That is a very good thing!! I am looking forward to each and every event!!!! I haven't been able to do too much this summer. . . and I am very excited to get back into the swing of things!!!!!!!


I added new Workshop Dates, area Crops, and. . . .

The 3rd Annual CROP AND SHOP FOR A CURE!!!!!!!! This has been set for November 6 and 7, so mark your Calendars NOW!!! We have some new fun things in store for this year's crop!!! We have moved the event to the Richmond United Christian Presbyterian Church on 13 hwy. We just thought we would be more accessible there!!!! We will be sending out information soon!!! We will only have space for a few vendors this year and we are going to limit it to Richmond area businesses!!! That is what this event is all about. . . (Richmond Holiday Open Houses). . . supporting Richmond Businesses!!!!

I will be updating the calendar on my website soon. . . well, as soon as I can find a faster internet connection!! My connection is pretty good, but it is SLOW when it comes to loading things on my website!!! I ALWAYS post the information here on my blog, because it is much easier to post here!!!!!

Girl's Just Wanna Scrap. . .

A New Scrapbooking Opportunity. . .

I am excited to announce that there is now another Scrapbooking opportunity for us!!!! Traci Bray, owner of Jeffrey Kyle's Family Buffet and Restaurant, contacted me recently about an event she is starting the restaurant. Once a month on a Saturday, she is going to be hosting a Scrapbooking Event!!!!! How fun is that? Jeffrey Kyle's is a very nice place and it has a very nice banquet room!!! OF course, we will be fed well too!!!!!! You can see the dates she has planned, if you look on the right side of my blog under events. She will be charging $25 for the day and that includes two meals, drinks, and prizes!!!!!

She will have flyers at Jeffrey Kyle's with the information OR you may email me and I will send her your information, if you are interested in attending!!

I will include more information in another post and in my newsletter!!! The first date is July 11!! Hope to see you there!!!!

Dream Card/ Crop for a Cure/Catalog

Here is a card I created using the Unforgettable Paper Pack, Sorbet Designer Ribbon, Aspiration Stamp Set, Cocoa ink. Finished size is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.

The Crop for a Cure in Lexington was a lot of fun last night!! Thanks to all who attended or stopped by to shop!! Your support is GREATLY appreciated!! I am so glad Marie decided to reschedule after the original date was snowed out!! I hope she was able to raise lots of money to support Relay!!

I have updated some dates on the Calendar on my website and loaded some art to the art page on my website! Stop by and check them out!! We have a new system for updating our website and it takes FOREVER for me to upload to it!! And it usually clicks me off at least three times before it is finished.....we don't have dial-up, but my internet just must not be that fast. . . I dream of the day when I have super high-speed internet! What a time saver that will be!!!!

AND I am worse than a Child a Christmas. . I received my BRAND-NEW. . .completely wonderful.....SUMMER IDEA BOOKS in the mail. . . FINALLY!!!!! And they are wonderful, as usual!!! I do have a limited supply and once they are gone, they are gone. . .so if you would like a copy. . please let me know!!!
